34 hours after leaving home we are in Lusaka, Zambia and
checked in to our hotel, so far we feel extremely welcome, the people have been
nothing but gracious. Thank you so much for your prayers and support, other
than one missing suitcase, our travels were safe and uneventful. Now that we
have had a good night’s sleep and a well needed hot shower and are almost ready
to start our Sunday.
Our day will start with a team breakfast and then off to
Miracle Life Church for service. After church we will be visiting Chikumbuso at
Ng’oma which is a co-operative of HIV / AIDS widows who work and live together
to support themselves, they make beautiful handcrafted bags and jewelry, those
of you that made the Zambia Up Close and Personal event will remember the
beautiful bracelets that were sale from these women at the event. These women
are so talented and I cannot wait to meet them and get to hear a little bit of
their story.
The rest of the day will be full of preparing for the next
week, fellowship and meeting with the World Vision Zambia Southern area team
that work with and interact with our 2 ADP’s. It is going to be a wonderful
start to our trip and we are excited to see what God has in store for us!
